In February 2016, an incident occurred when vessel named “Al Shahnaz” carrying 14 fishermen strayed acrossed international waters in search of “lucrative catch” and were caught by Indian authorities. After months of negotiations and diplomacy Indian Authorities have agreed to return the crew of “Al Shahnaz” in August 2018.

Meeting held on 11th July, 2018 between honorable caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Fazal-ur- Rehman and Chairman FCS Mr. Abdul Berr at CM house. In the month of July ban on fishing has been ended - Chief Minister Sindh Fazal ur Rehman. Water Supply (by Water Board) to Baba Bhit to be ordered by Chief Minister Sindh.

Former Chief Justice (Sindh High Court) and Head of Water Commission, Mr. Ameer Hani visited Karachi Fish Harbor, On the occasion,Chairman FCS Mr. Abdul Berr briefing him.

Director Asif Bhatti, Hanif lara, Doctor yousuf, Wadera habibullah Native fishermen , representer ayaz bhatti , asghar ali shah visited the Baba bhitt Island which turned into open discussion , native fishermen appreciated the hard efforts of Chairman FCS and also discussed their issues with Chairman FCS.

Speaking to Fishermen on this occasion chairman FCS said, the welfare of fishermen is is my prior responsibility and I will be fulfilling my responsibilities with my complete efforts.

Mr. Abdul Berr also issued orders for the construction of community center in Sindhi township and clean up program for environmental betterment of island.

Mr. Asif Bhatti (Director) FCS has given cheque to management of Masjid e Afat (BABA BHIT) and fishermen, on direction of Chairman FCS - Mr. Abdul berr.

Chairman FCS - Mr. Abdul berr - Visit to Muslim Kachchi Mujahid Colony - Baldia Town, where he distribute cheque of 2.3 lac for Masjid e Aqsa (Fans & Miscellaneous) and Rs 40,000 for Electric Water Cooler. Mr. Abdullah Yaqoob were also provided with a cheque of Rs.15,000 for his treatment.

The organization has been facing worst downfall before taking charge, dispensaries were activated for operation on immediate basis and schools who were projected as to receive financial aid was rehabilitated -Mr. Abdul berr . Chairman FCS Talks about his tenure and told the media person about financial crises that the organization is facing, on question about receiving funding; he replies, we have to deal with ups and downs and expenses by its sole earning which is not sufficient in the situation were organization is giving horrible view from top to bottom, but with the proper management and system we somehow manage to cater the issues. He also renders open invitation to media person and people to come and visit the market and witness the difference he has made. he declares organization in a restructuring mode and also inform media about execution of four departments (Information Technology, Human Resource, Quality Control and Monitoring & Complaint) to meet the international standard.
